The Palace on Wheels offers a unique tour of Rajasthan, its great cities, wonderful wildlife, forts and palaces. Today's Palace on Wheels reflects all the luxury and service expected, but with contemporary amenities.

Day 1 Delhi
Board the Palace on Wheels at Safdarjung Train Station for a 5.30pm departure for Jaipur. Once settled into your cabin, enjoy dinner as the train heads into the night.

Day 2 Jaipur
Full day tour of the fabled Pink City of Jaipur. Sightseeing includes the Palace of Winds and Amber Fort, visited on the back of an elephant.

Day 3  Sawai Madhopur / Chittaurgarh
Visit Ranthambore National Park, a wildlife sanctuary famed for its tigers. Reboard the train bound for Chittaurgarh. Explore the historic fort, with its legends of valour and chivalry before proceeding to the City of Lakes, Udaipur.

Day 4 Udaipur
Discover Rajasthan’s most romantic city. Visit the City Palace and the beautiful Lake Palace, a dream of white marble and mosaic.

Day 5  Jaisalmer
In the heart of the Thar Desert lies Jaisalmer, a fairytale walled town. Explore the narrow streets of the town centre and enjoy a camel ride into the surrounding desert.

Day 6 Jodhpur
The morning sightseeing tour visits the high walls of Mehrangarh Fortress and Palace. Whilst in Jodhpur there is time to shop for the many exquisite handicrafts.

Day 7  Bharatpur / Agra / Delhi
Arrive in Bharatpur early and visit the famous bird sanctuary. Morning tour to the magnificent city of Fatehpur Sikri. Afternoon tour of the Taj Mahal in Agra. Depart for Delhi.

Day 8  Delhi
Arrive Delhi and alight after breakfast.
