Day 1 Bangalore
Arrive at the Leela Palace Hotel (12:30). Complete check-in formalities before lunch. Afternoon sightseeing before the train departs for Mysore.
Day 2 Kabini/Bandipur
Visit Rajiv Gandhi National Park, the hunting retreat of the Mysore maharajas. Jungle safari in jeeps to spot wild animals in their natural habitat. Overnight stay at jungle lodge.
Day 3 Mysore
Arrive in Mysore, a city known for its resplendent palaces and majestic buildings. Afternoon sightseeing of Srirangapatna and Daria Daulat Fort.
Day 4 Hassan
Arrive Hassan and journey by road to Halebid, famous for its magnificent Hoysala Temple complex, and Shravanabelagola, an important Jain pilgrim centre.
Day 5 Hospet
Travel to Hampi, seat of the famed Vijayanagara empire, with splendid remains of palaces and gateways. Although in ruins today, this capital city once boasted riches known far beyond the shores of India.
Day 6 Badami
Journey by road to the World Heritage Site of Badami and Pattadakal, with its beautifully chiselled temples and Aihole, acclaimed as the "Cradle of Hindu Temple Architecture".
Day 7 Goa
Morning arrival in Goa, the "Pearl of the Orient". Alight after breakfast.
